Humanities CLEP Test Description It is important to understand that you do not have to answer each and every question correct to get a passing score. You need to get 50 of 140 correct (in most cases) to pass. The people the write the CLEP tests want you to know about half of the information to get a passing score. A majority of the test includes knowing who wrote/composed/created what. For example, Victor Hugo wrote Les Miserables. You will need to be able to identify styles and their time periods, match the composer with their work, understand and interpret literature and poetry, and recognize famous art. Over 50% of this CLEP examination is covered by memorizing a creator with their work. Because this subject area is so broad, we will tell you what to study so you are successful.
