DANTES Fees, Scores and Credit Information
DANTES tests are currently $80 to take. You may also have to pay an additional fee to the testing center, which is usually around $15. That may seem like a lot, but by preparing and studying for your test, you will get 3 college credits! Compare that to $1000 in tuition, books and time to take the class.
Dantes tests are given on the computer, which is a plus because when you finish your test, you will know your score immediately and know if you passed. Each school can determine whatever the passing score for your DANTES test. So while 48 may be passing at University of Phoenix, only 52 may be passing at your school. However, most schools use the ACE recommended scoring for DANTES tests.

I recommend you guys to everyone and since I found you I think I have saved 5 friends at University of Phoenix at least 5000 dollars in over priced general education classes! everyone loves you guys! Its awesome I was able to almost finsih my bachelors in 24 months instead of 60 months simply by taking all my gen ed classes using you guys via dantes and clep! Thanks, -
Amy N.
I used your DSST study guides for: Environment and Humanity: Race to Save the Planet and Intro to World Religions. I scored a 60 on both tests. Your products were very informative and useful. I studied 1 week with each study guide. Thanks. -W. Simmons
I passed Technical Writing DSST last week. The Pass Your Class study guide really helped. - Donna D.

DANTES Testing Centers and Schools That Accept DANTES Tests for Credit
It is not hard to find a DANTES testing center near you, but may require some patience or creative thinking on your part. If you live in or near a major metropolitan area, you will have no trouble finding a testing center (or several) near you.
However, there are more than one type of testing center. Open testing centers allow anyone to take a student there. For example, most University of Phoenix testing centers are open, meaning you can call and schedule to take a test there without being an enrolled student. Limited testing centers are testing centers that are only open to enrolled students at that school.
